8:30/ 9:00 AM: We assemble and start the day at Dharamkot main square with a visit to Tushita Buddhist Meditation Centre with its Shanti (Peace) Stupas, Medicine Buddha and Vajrasattva Gompa (Temple). We than proceed on a walk to explore the various Tibetan Prayer Flag and Stacked Stone Areas located at Dharamkot Village and Naddi Village.
Less than 50 metres from the Dharamkot main square, on a cobbled path amidst rich pine and cedar forests is located our first Prayer Flag area. Though we are just a little away from the main square and the hustle bustle of a tourist village, we are transported to a place with a peaceful and relaxing vibe. This area with its tall coniferous trees, birdsongs, fluttering prayer flags and mounds of stacked stones help to transport one to a quiet and peaceful state of mind. After resting in this area and experiencing its visually beautiful and mentally calming influence we proceed on a walk through a picturesque cobbled path, passing through lush green woods.

Our next halt is Meditation Point, a picturesque and soothing to the mind place, about midway between Dharamkot and Naddi. It provides a panoramic view of Mcleodgunj, the larger Kangra Valley on one side and on the other side it adjoins a forest silent retreat centre for Tibetan Monks . This relatively open clearing amidst the forested area abounds with fluttering Tibetan Prayer Flags and artistically arranged stacked stones. A commentary will be provided explaining the meaning and significance of the Prayer Flags - the colours, the symbols and prayers printed and the thoughts and aspirations behind them.

Onwards, we continue on the forested path and arrive at another clearing that overlooks the valley on one side and the monks residence and silent retreat area in another. This area is a sight to behold, with a profusion of multi coloured flags fluttering and mounds of stacked stones everywhere. One can sit and meditate or admire the view of the valley. In the breaks between the walks, one can get a brief about a bit of local culture and traditions, both local and Tibetan, also get to know about the stacked stone structures meaning and the aspirations behind them.

We end the day with a visit to the picturesque village of Naddi that faces the Dhauladhar Himalayan ranges on one side and the Kangra valley on another or alternatively continue our journey further to Gallu Devi Temple enjoying the majestic sunset before a return to our residences.
