Meditation and Mindfullness
Calmness, confidence, productivity - through practices that have come down from ancient times and have not lost their relevance today
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not be overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's happening around us.
We start this journey with Mindful Breathing. Initially one focusses complete attentiveness on the breathing- the incoming and outgoing breath.
We focus on the present moment, on feelings that arise, on sensations of the body, on the pressure of the ground below our feet, the wind and sun as they feel on our skin, the sounds and smells that surround us. We learn to be alive to whatever the present moment brings without analysing it.

With gradual practice we understand this observation technique and learn to be non -reactive, to incessant internal chatter of the mind, to transcend its cravings and aversions. This gives a sense of freedom, a relief from being a prisoner to habits. Thus begins our journey into meditation.
A trip to this sacred space - wooded areas, forests situated in these majestic mountains – affords us a wonderful to be mindful and meditative.
